How dry hire works

Four steps, and we do three of them.

No production crew, no setup fee, no one from us standing in the corner of your event. Just equipment that turns up early and works.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Group size, venue, date, and whether you want a microphone for voice-over. You get a fixed-price quote back — no hourly surprises.

  2. 02

    Secure the date

A 20% deposit holds your booking, with the balance due 14 days before your event. Visa or Mastercard.

  3. 03

    It arrives early

The kit lands a couple of days ahead so you can open the case, have a play, and ask us anything before it matters. Fully charged, instructions inside.

  4. 04

    We collect it

A return label is already in the box. Stick it on the case, and we arrange pickup the next working day. That is genuinely the whole job.

Which headphone

Pro-Gen or Glow LED?

Both have the same sound quality, and on both every listener sets their own volume. The difference is channels, range, and size — and the size is the part people underestimate until they lift the case.

Pro-Gen

The compact one
Channels
2
Range
Up to 30 metres
Indicator
Small LED channel light
Size
Folds flat — three fit where one LED does

Best for: Training, classrooms, tours, translation, yoga — anywhere you carry them between sites or the headphones are not the point.

Glow LED silent disco headphones with large illuminated channel indicators on each earcup

Glow LED

The party one
Channels
Up to 4
Range
Up to 100 metres
Indicator

Size
Larger — the light is the point

Best for: Parties, weddings, festivals and karaoke, where seeing the room split across channels is half the entertainment.

Still unsure? Say so on the enquiry and we'll tell you which suits the job — we would rather send the right one than the dearer one.

Silent Disco Equipment

Four DJs. One dancefloor. Zero noise complaints.

Our Glow LED headphones give every guest four channels — run up to four DJs at once, with a glowing indicator so you can see the room split across them. The compact Pro Gen runs two. Built for parties, karaoke and late finishes in venues with a curfew.

  • Glow LED: 4 channels, so up to four DJs at the same time
  • Compact Pro Gen: 2 channels — the quieter, lower-cost option
  • Easy-clean surfaces, big glowing channel indicator, microphone optional

Voice Over Music System

Talk over the music. No mixer, no cables, no fuss.

This is the piece that surprises people. A transmitter small enough to hold in one hand takes your microphone and your phone's music and blends them automatically — so you speak, the melody keeps playing underneath, and every listener gets both perfectly balanced.

  • Auto-mixes your voice into the music — no mixer required
  • Fits in the palm of your hand, runs off your phone
  • Works with both Pro-Gen and Glow LED headphones

Tour Guide Equipment

Speak once, softly, and reach the back of the group

Our compact Pro Gen headphones put your guide's voice straight into every listener's ears — the ones beside you and the three who've wandered ahead. Two channels means you can run a second language on the same tour without splitting the group.

  • Pro Gen: compact, comfortable, 2 channels running at once
  • Run two languages side by side on a single tour
  • Battery-operated transmitters available for walking tours

Museums, Galleries & Libraries

A guided tour nobody else has to listen to

Your guide speaks normally and every visitor hears it clearly — while the room around them stays quiet. No raised voice competing with the gallery, no huddle blocking the cabinet, and nothing at all for the people who came in to read. Libraries can run story time and an adult class at once, on separate channels, in the same open floor.

  • The room stays quiet for everyone else in it
  • A second language on channel two, same tour
  • Meets ACMA standards and RCM marked — the paperwork procurement asks for

Special Applications

Not every hire is a party

Some of our favourite bookings are the quiet ones. The same system does careful, unglamorous work in rooms where a speaker would be exactly the wrong tool — and when the job doesn't fit a standard kit, we build the set-up around it.

  • Language & Interpreting

Two languages, two channels, one room. Every listener picks the one they need — no booth to build, no PA to fight, nobody left out of the conversation.

  • Aged Care & Well-being

Curated playlists and guided meditation at a volume each resident sets themselves. A genuine gift for hearing-impaired residents, and peaceful for everyone else on the floor.

  • Yoga, Fitness & Group Therapy

Your cues and your playlist, arriving together in every set of ears. Works in a studio, a hall, or a park at sunrise — and the neighbours never know.

  • Safety Inductions & Classrooms

When everyone must hear it the first time, put it straight in their ears. Inductions, trade shows, conferences and classrooms — no repeating yourself over machinery.

Request a quote

Tell us the job. We'll spec it.

How many headphones, where, and when is enough to start, and the quote comes back fixed-price. Not sure how many headphones you need, or which style suits? That's the easiest question you'll ask us all week.
